Despite the recent challenge from heritage campaigners over the building of the Paddington Cube, developer Sellar has published its timeline for the Paddington Square scheme – which sees construction work beginning as early as next year.

Chairman and owner of Notts County FC, Alan Hardy said: "We are extremely proud of our status as the world’s oldest Football League club and commend Andy’s efforts to commemorate our birthplace. The meeting that took place inside the Mercure in 1864 was hugely significant for the sport and the plaque will be a fitting way for people to learn more about our club’s unrivalled history."

Casual Dining Group (CDG) has signed agreements to operate the food and beverage programs at two UK hotels in what is a signal of its intent to grow its franchise portfolio.

The deals, which are both with London Town Group (LTG), will see CDG create and operate a bespoke premium offering at the Hotel Indigo London Paddington, as well as introduce a Bella Italia at the newly-built Holiday Inn Leicester Wigston. 

The London Town Group is undertaking a multi-million pound refurbishment of The Ramada Leicester Stage to rebrand the hotel as the Holiday Inn Leicester Wigston.

Property investment company London Town Group intends to carry out a multimillion-pound refurbishment of the 79-bedroom Ramada Leicester Stage hotel following its acquisition from Lester Hotels for an undisclosed sum.

Born and raised in Britain, Koolesh Shah has spent his entire life in the hotel business. The London Town Group was the first to launch IHG’s Indigo hotel brand in the UK, a measure of the reputation the group enjoys with the big hotel brands.

The world’s biggest hotel operator, AccorHotels announced it is opening in November 2016 with London Town Group a 72 room hotel under its Mercure brand in Talbot Square, London. The hotel is situated in a prime location close to Hyde Park and Paddington Station (the main central London terminus for express trains to Heathrow Airport).

Sheffield’s Metropolitan Hotel has been acquired by the London Town Group of companies.

The Group’s latest investment is the Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel, a stylish and contemporary 112-bedroom purpose- built hotel in the heart of the city centre.
